Setting up a Hargray Email Account on any Apple Device and PC Windows (from Toni and Mark - Courtesy of Hargray Techs)

Add Hargray Account through the "Other" option and set up as you would any account. (Example: iPad or iPhone go through Settings to "Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Accounts, Add Account.")

1. Add Personal information:

• Full Name
• Hargray email address
• Password used to access Hargray email address (as many of our members have difficulty remembering their passwords, you may want to verify the password by going to the Hargary website on a classroom computer and making sure that the individual can signin to their account through webmail on this computer.)

(From this point on "Error messages" may occur along the way just "Save" and go on to next step)

2. Incoming options

Incoming IMAP - Best choice if using only Apple Devices

• Server: webmail.hargray.com
• Must use SSL (can be either accept any or strict check, most clients won't care or give you an option)
• Port: 993 (If another number appears here change it to 993)
• Individual's username@Hargray.com and of course the password used for this account

Incoming POP3 - If using POP on other devices and a mix of Apple and PC

• Server: webmail.hargray.com
• Must use SSL (can be either ‘accept any’ or ‘strict check, most clients won't care or give you an option)
• Port: 995 (If another number appears here change it to 995)
• Individual's username@Hargray.com and of course the password used for this account

3. Outgoing SMTP

• Server: webmail.hargray.com
• Must use SSL (can be either accept any or strict check, most clients won't care or give you an option)
• Port: 465 (If another number appears here change it to 465)
• Individual's username@Hargray.com and of course the password used for this account

4. On Apple iPhone or iPad - Perform a "Soft Reset" - Power off and back on
5. Go to Mail and make sure that the email is functioning properly.
